Classic best of Safari - 7 Days

Day 1 Mount Meru Game Lodge

Pick-up at the airport by your driver guide, first overnight stay with breakfast outside Arusha..

Day 2 Tarangire National Park

Depart after breakfast for Tarangire National Park. A good road takes you around Arusha and finally into the park for a full day game drive. Picnic lunch in the park.

The Tarangire National Park is one of the most beautiful game reserves in Tanzania. An area of 2600 square kilometers and an average height of 1100 meters is home to some animal species that can only rarely or not at all be observed in other parks in northern Tanzania.

For example, the gerenuk, the small kudu, oryx and eland and the rarest of all antelope species: the great kudu.

The Tarangire is a great highlight all year round, but a special must for every safari in the dry season. During this time, all animals gather at the remaining water points on the Tarangire River: big cats, elephants (sometimes herds of over 200 animals!), Giraffes, buffalo ...

Dinner and overnight in Taragire National Park..

Day 3 Manyara National Park

Drive to Manyara National Park, all day game drive with picnic lunch in the park.

Although the smallest of the parks in northern Tanzania, the Manyara National Park offers a great variety of animal species including lions, elephants, giraffes and buffalo ... in a wonderful landscape framed by the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara with its thousands of flamingos and countless other bird species.

Overnight near Kraratu.

Day 4 & 5 Serengeti

Game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

This huge park covers an area of 14,000 square kilometers and has the highest concentration of wild cats in the world.

Lunch awaits you as a picnic in the park.

The Serengeti includes very different biotopes: the savannah, with its wide, grass-covered plains in the south, the wooded hilly landscape in the west, the Kopjes - sometimes also called "island mountains" - in the east and the bush savannah in the north.

In addition, the area is crossed by a river, which attracts a diverse fauna all year round (buffalo, giraffes, antelopes, cats ...), but is also a habitat for crocodiles and hippos.

Dinner and overnight in Serengeti National Park.

Day 6 Ngorongoro crater

This day is dedicated to the discovery of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. At lunchtime, a picnic lunch awaits you in the park.

The Ngorongoro Crater on the edge of the Serengeti was created by the collapse of a volcanic mountain. The crater floor is 1700 meters above sea level and has a diameter of about 20 kilometers. An almost unbelievable abundance of animals can be found on an area of 26,400 hectares, perfectly protected by crater walls up to 600 meters high. Bernhard Grzimek and his son Michael are buried on the edge of what is certainly the most famous animal reserve in the world. In 2010 this natural amphitheater was declared a World Heritage Site.

The land of the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and finally rhinoceros.

Dinner and overnight near Karate.

Day 7 Arusha

Transfer to Arusha. From here you can either fly directly to Zanzibar for a few more days of vacation on the beach, or you will be taken to Kilimajaro International Airport for your return flight.
